You may feel you have what constitutes a good life – a secure job, friends and family who love you– and yet you still find yourself putting these parts of your life at risk, over and over again, by abusing substances, or engaging in compulsive sexual behaviors. By the time you’ve gotten to this website, you’ve probably experienced a fair amount of self-doubt and self-criticism when it comes to changing your addictive behaviors. I want you to know that you do not have to undertake this task alone. Together, we can develop a unique approach to treating your addiction, one that aligns with your needs and values, so you can live the life you want, and truly believe that you deserve it.

Individual and couples treatment that is tailored to your unique needs, and experience with addiction.

  • What this may involve:

    • Developing skills like mindfulness, so you can increase self-awareness and feel more confident about managing difficult feelings.

    • Building self-esteem and developing boundaries with others, so you can feel empowered to get your needs met in relationships.

    • Creating a plan for using substances at specific events (festivals, weddings etc.), so you can confidently engage in settings where substances are present.

Individual treatment for partners and/or family members of those struggling with addiction.

  • Have you ever felt confused and out of control when it comes to your loved one’s addictive behaviors? I can help you better understand why your loved one does what they do, and how you can best be a support for them.

  • Have you ever felt overly responsible or compelled to cover for your addicted loved one? I can help you create healthy boundaries in your relationship, so there is mutual reliance on each other, and a balanced give and take.

I also offer consultations for those who aren’t sure that substance abuse treatment is for them,

or for those closest to individuals who misuse substances.
